Giardini della Biennale
The Giardini della Biennale are a historic public park in the eastern part of Venice,
created during the Napoleonic period in the early 19th century.
The gardens are best known as one of the main venues of the internationally renowned Venice Biennale,
which hosts major exhibitions of contemporary art and architecture.
Within the park stand more than twenty national pavilions,
permanent exhibition buildings designed by various architects for countries participating in the Biennale.
Surrounded by trees, sculptures, and paths overlooking the lagoon,
the Giardini combine a peaceful green space with one of the most important cultural events in the world.
